I'm so amazed & grateful for all OF your kind wordS & REVIEWS.
WHAT THEY ARE SAYING
- Wow! What a great read!
- My heart hurt for him. I just wanted to wrap him up and keep him safe.
- Beanie is just everything. Funny and caring, warm and tender.
- Tyler's story was beautiful.
- Well done! I really really liked it!
- Ms Pagan has developed two characters that could be anybody anywhere dealing with life and it's setbacks.
- Anyone who has a loss, a set back, a cluster f#$k event didn't die but wanted to but sought roads out of the darkness- you'll love this book.
- The Duchess- a house built with love call to both of them . It's strength will challenge them both as they make decisions for themselves while renovating it back to it's former glory and original purpose-to shelter and protect all within.
- Ms Pagan allows the reader the time to get to know her characters through back stories and flashbacks. Then sets them up on trajectories that will introduce the Duchess into their influences. It was wonderful.
- Tyler and Benjamin have arrived at this point thru different journeys- they have each been kicked hard and are in the rebuilding stages- one with a battered heart, the other with a battered body.
- I am in for a real treat. Two paragraphs in and there is already a tear in my eye.
WHAT THEY ARE SAYING
- I immediately fell in love with the nerdy and adorable Noah whose 'okey dokey J' made my heart skip every time. I loved the fierce protectiveness of Jason for his nerdy doctor.
- The plot was very original and well written with a great supporting cast. The story does have some pretty graphic violence but also has a softer side with some steamy sex! This story also showcases a huge problem that exists worldwide and that is the continued undetected flow of drugs, weapons and human trafficking.
- Kudos Ms. Pagan! I can't wait to read the next installment!
- An exciting and intriguing story!
- This book totally blew me away. From the first chapter I was hooked. Totally different from the "The Duchess: Perfect Enough". I mean, TOTALLY DIFFERENT AND AMAZING!!! I was thoroughly invested in Jason and Noah from the beginning, and had a real hard time putting this book down so I could get a little rest! Jason started out being so cold and focused, but as you got to know him there was a very wonderful gooey center to him that made you fall in absolute love with him. Noah, your everyday geek, but soooooooooooo much more to him.
- I refuse to be one of those people who give all the good stuff away, so you're just going to have to read it for yourself. Let's just say I can hardly wait to read more of the Blackjack series. Alma is definitely one too keep tabs on!!!
- let me just say I'm doing a mental booty shake right along with Noah. We all love the alpha type and MC in a book it's a given you want a strong, sexy, delicious man to swoop right in and take charge so meet Jason! Let me just say yum. But for me it was all about Sweet, innocent, Nerdy Noah he stole my heart right away. Lots of other characters in the book as well that I can not wait to get my hands on Alma has a way with drawing you in from the first chapters that make it so you just want to keep reading all the way till the end then you think crap now I have to wait.. But I know it will be worth it.
- Check out Blackjack it is so worth it leaves you wanting more and just feeling happy! Yes she is a new Author but it will be so worth it to read Noah and Jason and get a glimpse of all the others you will be marking your calendar for.
- A great new series. Filled with intrigue and mystery, strong alpha characters who live on the fringes but find that special someone who opens up their softer loving side. Jason and Noah are perfect for each other. The story was fast paced, edge of your seat thrilling, and the secondary characters bring so much to the mix. I could not put it down! I cannot wait for the next story and see where she takes us on this ride! Brilliant and so well done!!
- Miss Alma Pagan is a devil and an angel. She can torment you with the hot, impossible love of a hit-man and a nerd, whispered and husked against the backdrop of cold violence … and leave you wanting more. She tells the story of cold-eyed killer Jason and his sweet-lipped mama’s boy Noah, two of the most opposite men I have ever had the opportunity to read and enjoy. Go ahead—get lost in the very chilling world of death-dealers and ruthless cartel tactics, all the while you savor the delicious and sweet passion of two memorable men. Don’t blame me if you, too, get hooked on some pretty bad dudes and one funny, sweet nerd boy. This one is hot as a barista’s special, cream-topped mocha. Hot and creamy, passionate and violent.
- I was impressed with her inventive storytelling and story arc. But let me tell you she blew me away with BlackJack Extinction-Pivot Point. The inventive story premise and the following chapters built a strong, interesting foundation to what could be a rock solid series.
- Her plain language telling of what could have easily been a overly wrought background heavy drag of a story has been sheared down to great story telling, fine personal observations and a hook that gets you early on with the backstory and builds up all the way through till the end.
- That Dr. Noah Sullivan can exist on this planet, one of kindness and no filter at ll to life around him. Loved and cherished by his family and friends, but wicked smart and resourceful, meets for his daily coffee fix Jason Miller, who's not all of that- he's more. And he's decided that his life is ready for change. Jason's story is what is going to make this a great adventure. He is on the run against a tragic betrayal that left his life and future in jeopardy- along with a handful of others. He's been waiting for a chance to pick up where he left off. Ms Pagan has populated a backstory with sincerity and pathos while investing in characters you can embrace and cheer for, or in some cases hiss at and gleefully wait for revenge.
- This is not a same ole, same ole story that you may have read elsewhere. This is craft, this is one of those stories that when you realize you've read half way you get that horrible feeling of impending doom that something good is going to end! More Ms Pagan, please.
